Power Quality Testing

Queensland Power Protection provides a comprehensive power quality testing service using our Powertronics D50 power quality data logger. As Australian Distributor for Powertronics we have extensive experience in analysing the data gathered by the D50 and our reports» are comprehensive and easy to understand. Where it is suspected that harmonics are causing problems we have access to testing equipment which can analyse this type of problem, this type of equipment is expensive, it must also be installed by a licensed electrician and is therefore more costly to deploy than the Powertronics D50 for which we only make a nominal charge which includes the cost of compiling your power quality report.

POWERTRONICS PQR D50 Power Quality Data Logger

The PQR D50 Power Quality Recorder is a state of the art, fully integrated instrument which measures, records, and reports power disturbances, aiding in the analysis of power quality for AC power in medical, commercial and industrial applications.

Disturbances detected on the Hot and Neutral Lines are recorded by their time, date, magnitude, and duration in a FLASH RAM memory. This data is then retrieved from the analyzer through its serial communications port.

The power to operate the unit comes from any standard 110v / 220v 15 or 20 amp AC outlet. Once plugged in, the PQR D50 immediately begins testing the signals on the input connectors. The unit comes equipped with a plug for 110V 15 or 20 amp outlet testing. Adapter cables are available for operating with other outlets at higher voltages.

Measures all types of disturbances

  • Spikes
  • AC Voltage
  • Sags
  • Common Mode Noise
  • Line Frequency
  • High Frequency Noise
  • Dropouts
  • Power Failures
  • Surges

Simple to operate:

  • Plug the power cord into a grounded outlet
  • Periodically connect to a computer for reports
  • Stores events in FLASH RAM
  • Data from up to 65,000 Events will be stored
  • Stores the average reading every minute for up to 20 days on the Hot and Neutral Line

"We have been dealing with QPP since 2005.  Over the course of our relationship they have consistently supplied well priced, high quality, and reliable power protection products to meet my client's needs.  Most importantly, however, is their responsiveness, quality of service and technical advice; especially when it's really needed.  In my opinion, this is what sets them apart."

"We’ve been using QPP for the past three years and have found the products reliable and well-priced and just as importantly the advice has always been spot on for both large and small power protection installations. Add to that friendly service and fast personal delivery and I haven’t found a better supplier anywhere."
